HD63B Five-Axis Machining Center: High-Precision, Multi-Surface Cutting for Complex Industrial Parts
The HD63B delivers advanced simultaneous five-axis machining for aerospace, mold, automotive and precision manufacturing industries, equipped with a BT40 motorized spindle, 12000 rpm speed, and ±35°–110° B-axis swing.
The HD63B five-axis machining center is engineered for manufacturers who require stable precision, high cutting efficiency, and multi-surface machining capabilities in a single setup. As industries such as aerospace, mold production, medical equipment, and precision automotive components continue moving toward smaller batch sizes and complex geometries, the need for a machining center capable of dynamic positioning accuracy and flexible part handling has become increasingly essential. The HD63B addresses these demands with a structural design that prioritizes rigidity, speed, and accuracy.
At the core of the machine is its BT40 motorized spindle, capable of a rated 3000 rpm and a maximum speed of 12000 rpm. With a continuous torque of 70 N·m and a short-time torque of 95 N·m, the spindle supports high-speed finishing and heavy-duty material removal. This makes the HD63B suitable for machining hardened steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, titanium alloys, and composite materials. The spindle power output reaches 11/15 kW (S1/S6), ensuring consistent performance in long-cycle machining.
The machining envelope is defined by an X-axis travel of 600 mm, a Y-axis travel of 450 mm, and a Z-axis travel of 400 mm, providing ample space for multi-surface processing of medium-sized molds, turbine components, jigs, and precision housings. The distance from the spindle end to the working table ranges between 150 mm and 550 mm, enabling efficient tool approach when machining deep cavities or high-profile workpieces.
The HD63B features a Ø630 mm turning-table that supports 500 kg horizontally and 300 kg vertically. The table includes eight 14H8 T-slots for flexible clamping of irregular parts, which is critical for multi-axis machining of impellers, medical implants, aerospace brackets, and automotive structural parts. The B-axis swing angle ranges from -35° to +110°, while the C-axis provides full rotational positioning—granting the operator the ability to perform five-sided machining or true five-axis simultaneous machining in a single clamping.
To maintain precision, the machine is built according to GB/T20957.4 (ISO10791-4) standards. Positioning accuracy reaches 0.007 mm, and repeated positioning accuracy is controlled within 0.005 mm on X/Y/Z, ensuring stable quality for high-tolerance parts. The rotary axes hold a rotational positioning accuracy of 6" and repeatability of 4". This level of precision is essential for industries requiring tight tolerances in complex surfaces such as turbine blades or dental components.
Rapid movement speeds of 36 m/min on all linear axes reduce idle time, allowing the HD63B to achieve higher productivity in mass batch production. The B-axis and C-axis rotation speeds reach 80 rpm, enabling efficient indexing for multi-angle drilling, contour milling, and 3D surface machining. The feed motors provide 2.3 kW on each axis, offering smooth acceleration and strong dynamic response.
Tool management is handled through a 24-position disc-type automatic tool changer, which supports two-way proximity selection for fast tool switching. The machine accommodates tools up to 300 mm in length and 8 kg in weight. The tool magazine design supports both full-tool (Ø80 mm) and adjacent-empty (Ø120 mm) configurations, increasing flexibility for mold manufacturing and 3+2 positioning tasks.
With a total machine weight of 6500 kg and an installation capacity of 24 kVA, the HD63B ensures stable operation during high-dynamic machining sequences. Its compact 4000 × 4000 × 3200 mm footprint makes it suitable for factories with space limitations while still offering a full-size five-axis capability.
Throughout the manufacturing process, the HD63B supports long-tail machining applications such as multi-surface contouring, variable-angle milling, complex 3D mold machining, aluminum structural part processing, high-precision cavity finishing, turbine blade machining, and precision prototype fabrication. These embedded keyword-related capabilities allow the system to meet modern digital manufacturing demands efficiently.
