The VTC-50M bridge-type machining center is a specialized solution developed for precision machining of advanced and difficult-to-cut materials. Featuring a fixed worktable and a full moving column bridge structure, the machine keeps the workpiece stationary during processing while all three linear axes are driven by the spindle unit. This layout significantly improves dynamic balance, machining stability, and long-term accuracy retention, especially under continuous or high-load cutting conditions.

The machine structure is formed by an integral cast base and columns, produced using high-strength resin sand casting and subjected to multiple aging treatments. This ensures excellent rigidity, vibration resistance, and thermal stability during long machining cycles. The bridge beam, saddle, and spindle head adopt box-type reinforced designs with dense internal ribs, allowing the VTC-50M to maintain stable accuracy when machining stainless steel, titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys, ceramics, glass, tungsten carbide, and other hard or brittle materials.

A key highlight of the VTC-50M is its ultrasonic-assisted air-bearing electric spindle. The spindle integrates ultrasonic vibration directly within the shaft, enabling axial micro-vibration through controlled air pressure. This design eliminates the need for external ultrasonic power units and allows the use of standard tool holders. During machining, ultrasonic assistance significantly reduces cutting force, improves surface finish, suppresses burr formation, and extends tool life, making it particularly suitable for precision grinding and finishing of complex components.

All linear axes are equipped with high-precision roller linear guideways and double-nut preloaded ball screws, providing smooth motion, high positioning accuracy, and excellent repeatability. The feed system is fully sealed and protected, ensuring reliable performance in dusty or abrasive environments. Rapid traverse and cutting feed movements remain stable even during high-speed or high-precision machining operations.

The machine is controlled by a FANUC CNC system, offering reliable multi-axis interpolation, tool management, error compensation, and intelligent diagnostic functions. Customized software packages further support hole machining, surface milling, cavity roughing and finishing, and complex contour processing. A fully enclosed protective system effectively isolates chips, coolant mist, and dust from critical motion components, enhancing operational safety and equipment longevity.
